Jonathan is a licensed attorney with over twenty years of litigation experience, practicing primarily in the areas of real estate, HOA, employment, commercial disputes, and insurance defense and bad faith in all state and federal courts in Arizona. Jonathan holds active licenses in Arizona and California and represents clients in civil and commercial matters throughout both states at both the trial and appellate level. Jonathan is an experienced, aggressive trial lawyer and has represented clients in countless jury and bench trials.

A twenty-year trial lawyer, Jonathan has represented homeowners and consumers in disputes with homeowners' associations, condominium associations, developers, management companies, and their attorneys for the last fifteen years. Jonathan is one of the few lawyers in Arizona who represent the homeowners in the HOA disputes and has devoted a substantial part of his practice to the exclusive representation of owners, including defending owners in collection and foreclosure actions, CC&R enforcement and violations, election and governance issues, and construction issues. He has assisted hundreds of owners who find themselves in court with or threatened to be taken to court by their homeowners' association or simply on the opposite side of a dispute with their association. Jonathan is skilled, knowledgeable, and experienced in handling all types of HOA disputes as well as disputes among HOA residents.

Jonathan’s tireless work on behalf of homeowners has been featured in several newspaper articles, news stories, and radio shows, including the Arizona Republic, azfamily.com, ABC 15, On the Commons, and the East Valley Tribune to name a few.

In addition to the homeowners and consumers he represents in HOA disputes, Jonathan’s clients include businesses, large and small, as well as individuals desiring superior, prompt and effective legal services without the unnecessary hefty price tag that is often standard with larger firms. He founded the firm with the belief that quality, skilled legal representation can be provided to clients at a reasonable rate.  He and the other lawyers at the Dessaules Law Group are actively committed to providing exceptional, individualized service to the firm’s clients, protecting their interests, and achieving their goals promptly and efficiently, regardless whether the case is a complex commercial litigation matter, defense of a “simple” automobile accident, or an adverse possession dispute.

Jonathan is a 1997 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, and received his undergraduate degrees from Rutgers University in 1994.  He previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Earl H. Carroll of the United States District Court for District of Arizona and presently serves as a pro tem judge on the Maricopa County Superior Court’s civil calendar.  Before opening his own law firm catering to individuals, homeowners, and small businesses, Jonathan spent several years at one of the country’s largest law firms in its commercial litigation section.
